Therapeutic Style: Collaborative, Warm, Direct, & Personalized
You're tired of just getting through the day. Maybe you've found yourself stuck in the same patterns, feeling distant from others — or even from yourself. If you're here, it's likely because something in your life is causing pain, and you're ready for change. You don't have to go through it alone.
Lauren is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in both Texas (#204136) and California (#123610) with over 10 years of mental health experience supporting individuals, couples, children, and families. She specializes in working through challenges like depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, fertility issues, and postpartum mental health. As a Level 3 trained Gottman therapist, she brings a compassion and research to her sessions supporting couples and individuals alike.
Her style is collaborative, warm, direct, and personalized, drawing from a variety of evidence-based approaches including client-centered therapy, the Gottman Method, attachment-based therapy, narrative therapy, CBT, DBT, and discernment counseling. When appropriate, she also integrates mindfulness, play, and art therapy to support healing and growth in creative ways.
In addition to her clinical practice, she teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate level at Houston Christian University and Colorado Christian University. She also provides supervision to graduate level therapists and serves as a staff member at a local inpatient and outpatient psychiatric and substance abuse hospital.
When she is isn’t in her office, you’ll likely find her enjoying time with her family, kayaking, planning her next vacation, or working on a woodworking project alongside her co-founder and husband.
