The fourth trimester is a season marked by love, change, and growth both for yourself and your relationship. This free 8-week reflection guide was created to offer a supportive space for parents as they settle into life after birth. Each week invites reflective opportunities through thoughtfully written questions meant to help you foster opportunities of connection amidst change. This guide is not about doing more or having it all figured out. It’s about creating small moments of grounding, compassion, and connection during a time that can feel both stretching and sacred.
Adapted from the Gottman Method Couples Therapy approach: “State of the Union”, a structured 30–60 minute weekly conversation designed to strengthen friendship, improve communication, reduce resentment, share the mental load, and increase emotional connection.
This workbook is designed to help couples deepen emotional connection, define shared values, strengthen communication, and create greater meaning within their relationship. Grounded in principles from the Gottman Method, this guide includes reflections, psychoeducation, and practical tools to help couples navigate conflict, understand emotional and mental load, improve partnership, and intentionally build the kind of relationship and family culture they hope to create together.
Through guided conversations, these workbook questions help to encourage couples to move beyond simply managing daily responsibilities and toward building a relationship rooted in friendship, emotional safety, teamwork, repair, and shared purpose.
A thoughtfully designed emotional wellness workbook that helps individuals explore emotional regulation, mental load, nervous system health, and psychological well-being through guided reflection. Integrating principles from neuroscience and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, this workbook encourages deeper self-awareness, stress management, healthy boundaries, and emotional resilience.
